I have never been the type to just “let it go”, despite the catchy Disney song that encourages me to do so, I tend to hold on the things, people, places. Every instance securing a spot in my memory for later use. It is easy to preach forgiveness, to simply picture moving on and letting go, it’s the actual doing so that seems impossible sometimes. And then I think of all of the great memories that allow us to ponder on the good, the happy. Life may not be a work of art, it is not a perfect moment frozen in time. Life is an accumulation of all of the snapshots we choose to remember and the moments we forgive and forget. Perhaps, I should take a few pointers from my cat, he sure knows how to be content and forgiving…most of the time. Happy Monday from Dallas.
